History of why we exist

For the last 10 years I have worked in the property
industry, starting as a trainee property negotiator in a corporate firm, then moving
on to look after my own estate agency. I love what I do, and I have also loved
bringing the realistic option of short stay accommodation to my local area.

With the recent legislation changes to Section 21 and
Section 24, frequent movement of tenants and lack of suitable accommodation, a
lot of landlords and tenants have found that standard long term rental doesn’t
suit their needs. Many tenants are working in the area for short term only and
renting a house is costly and ineffective as lengthy utilities contracts and
responsibilities for upkeep are not suitable. Booking a hotel room is an
option, but eating out every day or living on take away would not be worth
working away from your own home. To satisfy growing demand for short term stay,
serviced accommodation Shortstay England was born.

After testing the short stay model for over a year and
receiving numerous feedback from guests on how to improve their stay, we have
established an ideal package for each serviced accommodation house that becomes
a home for the duration of a guest’s stay.

Taking into consideration that our guests have expressed
requests and appreciation for excellent facilities, we help landlords to set
up, equip and look after their properties to satisfy the needs of the guests.
We ensure that the serviced apartment or house is set up correctly, providing
all necessary utilities, specifically ensuring that accommodation has a fully
equipped and functional kitchen, good parking nearby and high speed internet
connection.

All our properties are advertised on Booking.com, Airbnb,
Tripadvisor, Expedia and many other websites.

Our guests have access to 24/7 check in and check-out
services and reliable, uninterrupted communication to enjoy a clean, tidy and
cosy solution to a hotel room.

 Originally we started
in King’s Lynn providing accommodation to QEH
hospital
  nurses and doctors in
King’s Lynn, we then began supplying accommodation to Palm
Paper
, Power Plant, ID Medical and other professionals who
were subcontracted to work locally. As the demand is growing, we are now
expanding to the Norfolk coast, Gloucestershire, Suffolk and other areas
nationally.

We have set up partnerships with national suppliers
including cleaners, laundry hire companies and local small businesses that help
run serviced accommodation as smooth as possible and deliver excellent customer
service for guests and owners.
